There are events in the life of an Institute that mark milestones in its history. This is the case of the consecration of the Shrine of the Baptism of the Lord in Al-Maghtas, Jordan, which took place on January 10, 2025 and whose pastoral administration was entrusted to the Institute of the Incarnate Word and the Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matará in 2008.
The consecration, which marks the Shrine as a unique place of evangelization, was carried out by His Eminence Card. Pietro Parolin, Vatican Secretary of State and His Eminence Card. Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem. This is undoubtedly an unparalleled event for our small Religious Family.
