Highlighted Mission: Persecution in Aleppo
Our sisters founded their first convent in Syria in 2008 in the cosmopolitan city of Aleppo. They began with a student residence for Arab Christian women at the local university, and also carried out apostolate with the IVE priests in the local parish. When the war came, they chose to stay.
We ask for Our Lady’s constant intercession for our missions with the ancient Marian hymn Sub Tuum Praesidium (“Beneath Thy Protection”) sung in Arabic:
