Profession of Final Vows
November 13, the Feast of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, marked an important and joyous day in our mission in Guyana.
On that day Sister Mary Our Lady of Charity, the second Guyanese vocation for our Institute, professed her final vows in the town of Charity on the Essequibo Coast.
											Reception of Habit
In addition, three Guyanese novices received their habits:
Sister Mary Beloved Daughter of the Eternal Father
Sister Mary of the Lamb of God
Sister Mary Sea of Grace
The Mass took place in St. Francis Xavier Parish which has been under the care of the IVE priests since the year 1995. Bishop Francis Alleyne of the Diocese of Georgetown (Guyana) presided the Mass and the priests of the Institute of the Incarnate Word concelebrated the Mass. The Sisters Servants of the Lord as well as many family and friends were among those who attended.
As a small girl, Sr. Charity remembers our sisters coming to visit the mission even before they arrived to found the mission in 2007. She entered the convent in 2014 and she is currently a part of our contemplative branch, living in a monastery in Portugal.
We ask you to join us in praying for these sisters and for our mission in Guyana!
Our Lady of Lujan, pray for us!
