While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.
Summer is a time for rest and a time for a change of activity.
Summer 2021 has been a full summer for the Servidoras in our province. They have spent some time resting and praying, recuperating after a year’s hard work. They have also been busy with summer apostolates and activities in order to help the souls entrusted to our care spend a fruitful summer! This change of pace and activity is a welcome change in the routine of the year.
Here we share with you some of the summer activities our sisters have engaged in during this summer.
Our sisters usually dedicate one week to making the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius each year. This summer, there were spiritual exercises for the sisters in June in Baltimore and in August in the mission in Guyana.
“Family Vacation" - Upstate New York
In July, our apostolic sisters from all over the province spent a few weeks of “family vacation” time in the natural beauty of upstate New York, in the Adirondack region.
Children’s Marian Consecration
Two of our missions prepared children from their community to consecrate themselves to the Blessed Virgin Mary. It was a preparation according to the spirit of St. Louis de Montfort, but customized especially for children. More than 300 children participated in the consecration at Our Lady of Peace in Santa Clara, CA!
Summer time is a great time for Popular Missions! Our novices, together with the male IVE novices, helped with a popular mission at our parish (St. Veronica) in North Philadelphia.
We had summer camps for children in many of our missions! Here are some pictures from some of the camps Enjoy the photos!
