Totus Tuus, Maria! The World-Wide Renewal of our Marian Consecration

Marian-consecration

In the beginning of time, God gathered all the waters together and called them: mare.
In the fullness of time, He gathered all His graces and called them:
Maria.

On September 8th 2020, the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, each member of our Religious Family all over the world renewed their Fourth Vow of Marian Consecration in a wonderful union of spirit. As our religious sisters, priests, brothers and third order celebrated a solemn Mass in Rome at 1pm, simultaneously our communities world-wide also celebrated the Mass in their own time zones.

Each missionary, in every province, every country, and on every continent renewed their consecration together. Just to list a few of the locations: in California the Mass was celebrated at 4 AM, in Washington, DC at 7 AM, in Rome at 1 PM, in Tajikistan at 4 PM, in the Philippines at 7 PM, in the Solomon Islands at 10 PM.

In union together, the individuals of our Religious Family offered themselves to our Blessed Mother in total slavery of love according to the method of St. Louis de Montfort. After repeating the familiar words of this consecration, each one was invested with the scapular medal of the Religious Family of the Incarnate Word. On one side of the medal is Our Lady of Lujan, our patroness, and the words “Ad Jesum per Mariam” (To Jesus through Mary); and on the other side is the Sacred Heart of Jesus with the inscription “Et Verbum caro factum est et habitavit in nobis” (And the Word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us).

After the solemn Mass of Consecration and Investiture of the Scapular, we were again united spiritually – and virtually! We had a virtual “Global Greeting” in which we gathered to greet one another, sing together and celebrate as one family. This “fogon” was concluded with the singing of the Lourdes Hymn (Immaculate Mary) by our missionaries in various missions throughout the world and in many different languages.

Below we share some pictures of the Consecration in various parts of the world.

We ask you to join us in praying that the reign of Christ through Mary may be extended through all the world.
