Feast of Our Lady of Lujan

Happy Feast of Our Lady of Lujan!

May 8th is the day of Our Lady of Lujan, special patroness of our Religious Family.

From the time of our founding (1988), we have always had a deep devotion to this particular advocation of Our Lady from Argentina.

In 2011 she was officially named by the Holy See as the Patroness of Our Religious Family. Today, with great solemnity, we honor her in our missions all over the world.

We would like to share with you a video from our mission in Papua New Guinea. The people of that country have lovingly and wholeheartedly taken her as their mother, affectionately calling her “Mama Lujan”.

Today is also the day that the novices of both male and female branches of our Religious Family make their Total Consecration to Our Lady according to the method of St. Louis de Montfort.

Later, when they profess vows, it will become their fourth Marian Vow as a religious of our Family.

We ask you to pray for our missionary priests, brothers and sisters all over the world who seek to live this total consecration to Our Blessed Mother through living out our Marian Vow.

We also ask Our Lady of Lujan for her special protection and help for our world during this time of Pandemic.

Our Lady of Lujan, pray for us!
