“Come, Spouse of Christ, Receive the Crown the Lord has prepared for you from all Eternity"
These past weeks, our Religious Family had the joy of celebrating the first profession of vows for eight sisters in our province. There were two celebrations, one in the contemplative monastery in New York and one in Washington, DC.
Brooklyn, NY - Profession of vows in the Contemplative Monastery
On October 7, Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, Sister Mary Mother of the Eucharistic Heart professed vows in our Contemplative Monastery in New York (St. Edith Stein Contemplative Community). The Mass took place in the chapel of the Precious Blood Monastery and was presided by Fr. Pablo Waldman, IVE. Afterward friends and family were able to celebrate with the sisters in their visiting parlor.
Washington, DC - House of Formation
On November 1st, the Feast of All Saints, seven sisters made their first profession of vows in the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC:
- Sr. Mary Throne of Mercy
- Sr. Mary of the Crucifixion
- Sr. Mary Queen of Heaven
- Sr. Maria Lignum Vitae
- Sr. Mary Fountain of Life
- Sr. Mary Virgin Mother
- Sr. Maria Madre de Dulzura
The Mass of Profession was presided by Fr. Alberto Baraterro, IVE. Following the Mass was a festive reception at the Ven. Fulton Sheen Seminary.
These eight sisters participate in a real way in the foretaste of heaven as they “follow the lamb wherever He goes” (Revelation 14:4).
Please join us in praying for these sisters.
Our Lady of Lujan, pray for us!
