On the Front Lines<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our congregation,\u00a0the Institute Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matar\u00e1,<\/span>\u00a0has both active missionaries and contemplative nuns.<\/span><\/p>

Our contemplative sisters share in the apostolic work of our Religious Family by their life of prayer and penance \u2013 they are the \u201ckeystone\u201d, on the front-lines, of all the apostolic endeavors of our Institute.\u00a0<\/span>As such, they participate in our same spirit, as well as the proper and specific end of the congregation.<\/span><\/p>

By their life of prayer, penance and silence, they seek to\u00a0prolong the Incarnation of Christ<\/strong>\u00a0in the world through the\u00a0evangelization of the culture<\/strong>.<\/p>

They consecrate their lives especially for the sanctification of priests and priestly vocations of our religious family and of all the Church and in a particular way for the Holy Father. We currently have 28 monasteries in 17 countries throughout the world.<\/p>

This will move them to give everything and to give themselves over completely, thus demonstrating that there is no greater love than to give one\u2019s life for one\u2019s brothers and sisters.\u201d<\/p>

We remember the contemplative branch in a special way on the Sunday that falls after Pentecost, the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity (this year June 12). Our contemplatives have prepared a special series of videos for the novena leading up to this feast.
