34th Anniversary of the Servidoras<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

March 19, Solemnity of St. Joseph, marks 34 years since the foundation of our congregation of the Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matar\u00e1.<\/p>

This day is kept with great solemnity and festivity by our sisters in every country and every mission.<\/p>

Yesterday, 23 sisters around the world professed their perpetual vows: in Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Italy, Ecuador and Russia. In addition, 22 sisters celebrated their 25th anniversary of religious profession.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

St. Joseph, Defender of Holy Church<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

In a particular way, we ask through the intercession of St. Joseph for peace in Ukraine and Russia and for all those affected by the war.<\/p>

We turn to St. Joseph, as head and defender of the Holy Family, in difficulties and dangers, asking for his special intercession as foster-father of Jesus.\u00a0 In the words of St. John Paul II, St. Joseph’s “patronage must be invoked as ever necessary for the Church, not only as a defense against all dangers, but also…for her renewed commitment to evangelization in the world and to re-evangelization in those lands and nations where religion and the Christian life were formerly flourishing and…are now put to a hard test” (Redemptoris Custos,\u00a0<\/em>29).<\/p>

We also ask him to protect our missionaries everywhere, but especially those who are in Ukraine and Russia.<\/p>
