Today, Solemnity of St. Joseph, we celebrate the 36th Anniversary of our congregation, Institute Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matará, female branch of the Religious Family of the Incarnate Word.
On March 19, 1988 we were founded, taking St. Joseph as our special father and protector.
We read from the foundational decree of that day: Our only desire is to give Jesus Christ Brides according to his Heart. Women who, consecrating themselves totally to God, know and live this reality: “They only want to deal in love with Jesus Christ” (cf. St. John of Avila), in such a way that they give witness that apart from the love of Jesus Christ, the civilization of love cannot be built and there cannot be an authentic evangelization of culture.
We ask St. Joseph, Protector of Virgins, for the grace to persevere in this goal!
