More than 2000 years ago, the Christ Child came to a world full of darkness and sin in order to bring light, peace and salvation to all who would receive Him. His dwelling was humble and his companions were poor, but He was welcomed by those who were simple and in need of His Divine Assistance.
St. Alphonsus Ligouri tells us that the greatest sorrow experienced by the Christ Child while in his Mother’s whom, was his foreknowledge of the “hardness of the hearts of men”. So many would reject the graces that he came into the world to win for us, thereby rejecting Him and all that He suffered for us.
May each one of us receive the Christ Child this Christmas season with great love and fervor, making up for the coldness of the world that wants to shut out His Light.
We wish you a very Merry Christmas! May you experience the joy of the new born King of Kings!
