We have been blessed to receive a number of new documents from Pope Francis which enrich the Church’s understanding and breadth of her Social Doctrine. Reading these beautiful texts for themselves allows Catholics to be educated and formed more deeply than merely reading the digest and commentary of the secular press. Pope Francis writes in an accessible and engaging style with wonderful subtleties and distinctions that reveal him as the Jesuit professor who was called to be pope.
