1890 the first group of Sister Adorers of the Precious Blood came to Brooklyn from Canada.  In 1905 they moved to the newly built monastery on Fort Hamilton Parkway.

Precious Blood Monastery Church compressedThis historic location has been home to consecrated religious contemplatives as well as a place for retreats since that time.

Joseph Stedman, the faithful chaplain of the sisters for nearly twenty years.  The version available now includes new color photos (by the Servants of the Lord also now in residence) accompanying his text which tells the story of the monastery.
