While the March principally serves as a civil demonstration against the Roe vs. Wade ruling which legalized abortion in 1973, it has also become an encounter for people from all over the country (as well as international visitors) to stand up for the dignity of human life in a spirit of joy and confidence.
Our own group of the Religious Family of the Incarnate Word marches with a pro-life Mariachi / marching band and youth and families from our parishes up and down the East Coast.
We also hosted a weekend event for many of the visiting youth and those from our local parishes to deepen their lives of faith and formation as pro-life youth.
Let us all pray with Pro-Lifers on the West Coast where the Walk for Life will take place tomorrow, January 27th in San Francisco!
