Recently our Vicar General, Mother Mary of the Sacred Heart Gaes, SSVM (USA), made a visit to the mission in Papua New Guinea.  Mother Sacred Heart, originally from Maryland, served as Mistress of Novices and Provincial Superior before being called to serve as our Vicar General in Rome.

During her visit she spent time getting to know the works of the mission first hand as well as spending time with our missionary sisters there.  A number of them have spent time in this Province.

Sister Maria Mater Boni Remedii Riddick, SSVM is originally from New Zealand.  She spent her Postulancy, Noviciate and Juniorate here in the United States from 2010-2013 before studying in Italy.  She has been in the mission in Papua for several years already!
