One of our American sisters pursuing advanced studies in Rome has shared a reflection born from her work on Eastern Christianity: “Accompanying Mary in the season of Advent with the Copts”.
Sister Maria Panagia Miola, SSVM (Maryland) has subtitled her piece “some notes from the manuscript room” as a way to bring the fruits of her paleography studies from the silent “workshop” out to other members of the Religious Family as well as our family and friends.
May we especially unite ourselves in prayer with our Christian brothers and sisters who lost family members in the bombing on Sunday at the Coptic Cathedral in Cairo carried out during the homily. Let the Prince of Peace bring us relief from violence and new hope in our world, especially in the Middle East. Mary, Mother of God and our Mother, pray for us.
