Classes are over, summer has begun!  Let it be a “summer of mercy” in whatever activity or adventure we find ourselves!

Holy Doors Wherever You Go

One way to take advantage of the Year of Mercy during vacation times of traveling (or a “pilgrimage day” from home) is to seek out the Holy Doors which have been opened in every diocese in the world.

Pope Francis explains that not only in the local cathedrals but in other significant shrines and basilicas throughout the world doors will be designated as Holy Doors for pilgrims to pass through and gain plenary indulgences according to the conditions for seeking such a grace (see summary provided by the Divine Mercy Shrine).
