This coming summer from June 7-12, 2016 the GIVEN Forum will offer a first-of-its-kind event for young Catholic lay women (ages 20-30).
Held at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, the GIVEN Forum is a fully endowed, week long immersion in faith formation, leadership training and networking.
The Forum will provide a platform for what St. John Paul II called “the feminine genius,” and a response to Pope Francis’ plea for a deeper understanding and activation of the unique gift of women in the Church and the world.
“A woman’s dignity is closely connected with the love which she receives by the very reason of her femininity; it is likewise connected with the love which she gives in return.” St. John Paul II, Mulieris Dignitatem (1988), #30.
The event is sponsored by the CMSWR (Council of Major Superiors of Women Religious) to further the mission of cultivating authentic femininity for the life of the Church.
Registration closes February 2, 2016. Looks like a great event, don’t miss out!
May the “women who have gone before us” intercede for the fruits of this outreach to the future Catholic women leaders who will be asked to walk in their footsteps in new ways to the demands of today and tomorrow. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!
