We rejoice to announce the completion of the ten part video series following Vita Consecrata, the Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation written by Pope John Paul II in 1996.

The last video, Vita Consecrata – 10 of 10 – Closing Prayer to Mary (1:39), allows us to return our thanksgiving to the Virgin Mary while using the prayer composed by John Paul II.  May Our Lady of Lujan, Mother of our Vocations, bless this apostolic project in honor of religious life.

Year for Consecrated Life

It is our great hope that this series of short videos may contribute in some small way as a resource for the upcoming Year for Consecrated Life announced by Pope Francis.

pope-francis-new-bannerThe Year for Consecrated Life will take place in 2015 as a special project of the Vatican’s Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life.  Beginning in November 2014, the year’s events will culminate on November 21, 2015, the Presentation of Mary in the Temple.

In a special way, the Year for Consecrated Life will also commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the promulgation of Perfectae Caritatis, the Decree on the Adaptation and Renewal of Religious Life from the Second Vatican Council, issued on October 28, 1965 by Pope Paul VI.

May the whole Church rejoice in the gift of consecrated life, and may the Holy Spirit bring about a continued renewal of religious life and imbue an “unbounded generosity” on the part of many young people to follow Christ through the evangelical counsels!
