On the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, many our sisters professed perpetual vows worldwide; among them was one of our own American sisters in the Netherlands.
Mother Maria Nadiya Beznadiynych Rozak (“Hope of the Hopeless” in Ukrainian, her father’s family origin) is an American missionary from Philadelphia who is currently the superior of the community of Saint Liduina in the Hague (Netherlands). After completing her Novitiate and Juniorate formation in the United States, she studied at our International Juniorate in Italy and was named a formator for the European Novitiate also in Italy. Since 2012 she has been a missionary in the Province of Northern Europe working in the Netherlands.
On Saturday, September 14, 2013 Mother Nadiya made her perpetual profession of religious vows in the Basilica of Saint Liduina and Our Lady of the Rosary in Schiedam, in the Netherlands. The Mass was presided by Bishop Johannes van den Hende, bishop of the Diocese of Rotterdam in the presence of a great number of families and friends. We commend to your prayers the perseverance and holiness of all the members of our Religious Family and we rejoice with M. Nadiya and her family.
