“Catholic Schools Teachers – Mission Experience, Guyana 2012”
(Archdiocese of Washington, 2012)
In this video three teachers from a Catholic elementary school in the Washington, DC area reflect on their experience as missionaries last summer in Guyana, South America. Their mission was a joint project of the Pontifical Mission Society’s special program the Holy Childhood Association, an outreach to elementary students and educators, and our lay missionary program. During their time in Guyana they were facilitators for the annual Girls Summer Camp with our sisters. Throughout the video these lay missionaries testify to the transforming nature of missionary service, and to the remarkable encounter of diverse peoples in Christ.
